HOTWIRE has what i'm guessing to be the Waikiki Parc or the Hilton Waikiki Beach for $198/nite (although i'd think the former is a bit more likely then the former)... would these properties work for your needs?

I'll also add that the Marriott Waikiki Beach is also available for $249 and this is fully refundable up until a few days before your stay (always double check the terms during check-out)... if you choose to not book either of the above you may want to book this as a back-up. This will protect you from rates moving even higher from here, as well as give you the opportunity to still try PRICELINE and HOTWIRE in the weeks ahead in hopes of a better deal.

If you are renting a car, park it at the Waikiki Banyan across the street from the Marriott. Parking there is $12/day as compared to $32/day or so at the Marriott.
