freddy chandler
Seems there are good Express Deals on Priceline, but am finding it difficult to identify these hotels...For instance, I'm looking at a "Resort Hotel in Cancun Hotel Zone South" (no star rating) for 84% off, with a guest rating of 7 (out of 10) [see below]Wondering are "Express Deal" Hotels identical to the "Bidding" Hotels identified in this forum? If so, is it possible to identify these hotels?Resort Hotel in Cancun Hotel Zone South Area (as above)Star Rating: (no data)Guest Score: Rated 7.0 out of 10 (or higher)Guaranteed Amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center4 Star Hotel in Cancun Hotel Zone AreaStar Rating: 4Guest Score: Rated 7.0 out of 10 (or higher)Guaranteed Amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center4 Star Hotel in Cancun Hotel Zone South AreaStar Rating: 4Guest Score: Rated 9.0 out of 10Guaranteed Amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center?? freddy chandler
the dates of my stay are Jan 20-27th, 2013Also wondering - do you think "bidding" on these hotels will get me an even better rate than using the "express deal"? Link to comment
thereuare
Bidding will likely be the cheapest way to go since it is more opaque... the PRICELINE EXPRESS give you some information about the hotel if you need certain amenities or are looking for a minimum user review rating, and therefore will usually cost a bit more than a win from a proper bidding strategy. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. freddy chandler
Booked January 20-28 ... 8 night for $55/night + taxes = $515.84Was looking at the "Express Deal" for $62 per night (see previous post). After some research, figured it was probably the Westin (which suited me fine) so I thought I'd try to bid lower since I had nothing to lose... offered $45 Hotel Zone South. Declined. (Was offered @ $62 immediate, declined)added Hotel North, offered $49. Declined$53$55 AcceptedWanted a nice quiet property to put my feet up, so I figure this is the perfect property 4me for a darn good price B) Link to comment
