luckyg
We thought we could get a good deal in the zones we wanted...more mid town, but tried every available re-bid for a 3.5 or 4*(15) and nothing worked on Thursday, Tried again the next night, It was 9:30 Friday night and we needed to leave for the city in the AM...so we added the Financial district and went a bit higher. The W is very modern and not really our taste, but it was great. we had a room on the 22 floor over looking the WTC Memorial. OUr son decided to stay with us and we asked if we could get a room with 2 beds and they said it would cost $25. No big deal, very nice hotel, wonderful tea and coffee and great sitting area, with an outside deck. The financial district was quiet and that was actually nice. Subway down on Saturday night was fine, but several trains were closed Sunday morning. All in all a great visit. Used the PRICELINE link on better bidding. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! Glad to hear the hotel was accommodating for the additional person (even if for an additional fee which is common in NYC) and that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.
