owl45
Hi,I'm looking to bid for a place New Haven - Downtown for 10/6 - 10/8 and have tried bidding a number of times now in the last week (starting at $65) based on previous wins seen here. Most recently I tried starting at 85 (for a 3* Downtown), then rebidding by adding West Haven and East Haven (which only go up to 2.5*) going up to 95$ to no avail. What gives? Do I just need to keep upping my bids? Perfectly reasonable, but based on all the wins I've seen it looks like people have been able to keep their wins under 90$, so I'm wondering if somehow I messed it up. Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. If you are having bids coming back as not accepted, you are not doing anything wrong - it's just that, unfortunately, these may be busy dates for some reason. Rates can vary substantially from day-to-day, and what one user may get for one day often does not indicate what may be required for a date a week later. The New Haven-West Haven zone on HOTWIRE is showing only a 3* for $266 for these dates - if it comes down to it, are any surrounding areas acceptable?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
