hotelchic
Hi!I normally bid for Chicago rooms, but this upcoming weekend (9/15-9/16) I have an event in Milwaukee. I'm not familiar with the area at all, and was looking for a 3-3.5 star room for somewhere around 40-55 dollars. Possible at all? Also I need to find a room as close as possible to Veteran's Park (1010 n lincoln memorial). What area would I bid for for that and remain close by? Link to comment

AaronJB
Please post the response for the Chicago thread in the prior thread.Looking on the map of zones, Veterans Park does not fall within any particular zone, but appears just outside the downtown zone. Are you willing to stay anywhere within the downtown zone? Rates in downtown do look on the high side for these dates, and unfortunately $40-55 doesn't look realistic. My guess is that a 3-3.5* may cost more in the $70-80 range. You could certainly start lower ($50-55) and work higher by $5's in an attempt to see if a hotel will accept lower. If you don't mind staying further out, such as in Brookfield, staying under $55 (and possibly around $40-45) should be possible. Let us know your thoughts.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

hotelchic
I ended up chatting to Priceline customer service who said the best district to bet on would be 5, Milwaukee North Shore.I ended up with the Courtyard Marriott Milwaukee North Brown Deer 3* for my starting bid, which was $46. And to place my bid I clicked on the site's PRICELINE link to start my purchase. Link to comment
AaronJB
Congrats on your success. :)Very nice rate, but this looks a bit far - hopefully it will still work out well for your travel plans. I'll also note that Cedarburg and Port Washington to the North are cute little towns.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
