emdeema
I am flexible for zones. Either UCE, UCW or even Fishermans wharf. Also dont mind splitting stay between hotels/ above zones.I have tried using rebids starting $70 to $92 without luck for past 2 weeks. Are my travel dates absurdly busy or too far away?I really want to grab a sub $80 price as these seem to to be common. BEAV
Are my travel dates absurdly busy or too far away? If you're willing to post the current conventional hotel rates for your dates of stay, that may shed some light on why your bid of $92 was rejected. Fall is often popular in San Francisco, not only as far as tourists are concerned, but also convention activity. If the above plays a role, I think nabbing a 6-night stay may be tricky as well. I have no doubt you'll eventually be successfull, but this one might not come easy and require some patience. At least you've got some time to "play" with this..... Link to comment
dhammer53
If you know your way around San Francisco; and have some extra commuting time, and don't mind taking BART,You can get 3* at San Francisco airport in the mid-$30's. This may not be a good idea if you're staying multiple nights and have to spend 30 minute plus commuting. I'm doing this for 1 night, then renting a car at the airport. I'll save on downtown parking fees too. Link to comment
thereuare
Some hotels show rates which are a bit higher than usual, but there are others that are inline with 'normal' rates... i would continue bidding as your current bid amounts. If you'd like a specific bid strategy feel free to ask. emdeema
Thanks for the advice people. Having never been to San Fran I dont mind risking the location to general areas. The airport however seems to far for us. I took the advice and kept my bids below $80 and managed to get first two nights reserved at Westin St. Francis.Your Offer Price: $78.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $156.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $31.00 Total Charges: $187.00 I tried $76 Fishermans wharf first - rejected then aded UCE $78.I still need the next 4 nights. Will try next two nights again UCE or W and try for last two nights at Fishermans wharf. As I have the all important first couple of nights reserved feel more relaxed and will lower bids to low $70s from here on in. Any bidding advice appreciated. Link to comment
