My first choice was the Cypress in Cupertino/Campbell, but I figured that one of the Santa Clara 4* hotels (Hilton/Hyatt) would be cheaper. So started off not including Santa Clara to try my luck

Decided to start over and try a 2.5* in Mountain View

Figured I would probably settle for Santa Clara since I did not want to go much higher on the bid and I was seeing what looked like the Santa Clara Hilton on Hotwire for $83...

Overall pretty happy. At least most reviews say the bed is very comfortable which is high on my priority list.
