AaronJB
The FAQ discusses purchase timing. This period is traditionally busy/expensive though. If you need assistance with your stay, please provide more details - desired budget per night, zone/s and star rating.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. haygar2389
Thanks for the info i will chack the FAQ and yes i was shocked to see the pricing i was hopping for 100.00 a night 4 star downtown. I was looking to get The Palmer House Hilton for under 100 but i am at 87 now and still nothing. Any help would be greatThanks Link to comment
AaronJB
For a 4* in the two main downtown zones (MP-Loop-GP or River North-NMA) it's worth trying lower but you're probably looking at $135-150 for a 4*.Are you driving in? If so, you can likely get a 3.5*-4* in the 'burbs for around $45-55.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
haygar2389
I can get a car for the 2 days but i was worried about the parking. What Burb would you recommend thats is an easy commute? Thanks agaoin for you help Link to comment
AaronJB
Once you get out of the city, it's about 30-40 minutes to get out to the suburbs. I often recommend the Deerfield/Northbrook/Glenview area - most of the hotels are not a far drive to the nearest Metra stations, then it's about a 35-42 minute train ride in (and the Metra trains do not run as often as the CTA trains, but offer a much more comfortable ride.) However, I generally recommend suburban hotels for those driving in - do you want to go through the added cost and hassle of renting a car/time driving (and it's a drive towards the North burbs) for the couple of days? Would you rather go towards a lower star rating downtown, push higher towards a 4* or stay in the burbs?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
