slruud
Might finally be taking a trip to New York this October, and need to know reasonable areas to stay in. We have two free nights to use at the Omni Berkshire...out of a 4 night stay...and would like to know if that area/zone is central to public transit and tourist destinations. Any others that might be recommended are welcome. We would be flying into Laguardia.Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
At the 4* level: MTE, MTW, CPS, TS and ESB are typically the most frequently bid and considered well locatedAt the 3.5* level MSG can be added to the mix, but MTE and CPS can become problematic:In NYC when bidding 3.5* and lower:MTE - some 'known' hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subwayCPS - has the Hudson Hotel, which while well located, has notoriously small rooms (~140 sq. ft.)If the above doesn't fit into your budget, Chelsea and some other locations can be added/considered as well, but the above is a good 'core' starting point. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
