J5CUB
Trying to determine if Priceline biding includes Mariott downtown in the 4-star category or not. Although going directly thru Priceline lists the Mariott as 3 1/2 stars, some postings have mentioned that it shows up as a 4-star win when bidding. Any advice? Thanks- Link to comment

J5CUB
Sorry! Charleston-Downtown/Historic. I am looking for accommodations 4 July and 5 July. For this particular trip and various reasons, my preferences in order are: Charleston Harbor Resort, Mills House, French Quarter Inn, Vendue Inn, or even Meeting Street Inn or King's Courtyard Inn etc. I have bid for four days as 4 star Charleston/Mt Pleasant- through this link- added 4 zones/added the night of the 6th, increased bid etc. I was reluctant to add downtown as what I think is the Mariott keeps showing up on Hotwire. Although I have stayed there and it was great, it is not okay for this trip due to the need to drive. Any help would be appreciated as I am just confused over the star rating of the Mariott. Thanks again- Link to comment

J5CUB
Yes- thanks. From reading posts, it seems as though it sometimes shows up in Downtown/Historic zone as well as Ashley River zone and sometimes as 4 star and 3 1/2 at other times. Link to comment
thereuare
You may not be differentiating between PRICELINE and HOTWIRE results...On PRICELINE this property is 3.5* rated and in the Ashley River zone... on HOTWIRE it is 4* rated and in the Downtown-Historic District zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. J5CUB
Thank you, Thereauare- I was aware, but had read one posting that referenced this hotel as showing up on Priceline in a different zone/rating and thought I would ask- must have been inaccurate. To close out this thread/trip, I opted to book directly through the Charleston Reniassance website at a rate of $130 for July 4th and 5th. Although I had never stayed at this particular Charleston hotel, we were pleased with this choice all- in- all for this particular stay. Now- I will begin searching through this link for another stay in Charleston August 25th - 28th for a ladies' getaway. Thanks for the replies! Link to comment
