missyjj Posted June 30, 2012 Report Share Posted June 30, 2012 Hi,Thank you for taking the time to read my post...I am looking at using Hotwire for the first time to book a hotel in New York from 11th-21st July 2012.Ideally I would like to book a 4 or 5 star property which is near Times Square or Central Park as we are on holiday and need somewhere that is centrally located.I need to book 2 rooms: 1 room is just for an adult and the second room is for 1 adult and 2 young children (we would really need twin beds and a sofa bed).Initially I have looked at many websites and have seen 2 hotels that we like: The Michelangelo (it has a deal on at the moment) and Double Tree Suites. They are costing between $830 - $900 a night for the 2 rooms. Is it possible to get a cheaper rate? Only the search I have just done on Hotwire seems to give me two options:4* Times Square £2181 a saving of £678.90% Hotwire reviews Facilities include Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center 4.5* Times Square £2672 95% Hotwire reviewsFacilities include Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center If i look further away, there is also an option of a 4.5* in SoHo costing £2368, saving £463 90% Hotwire reviews Facilities include Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business CenterI am unsure whether theses are great deals, or if I should do my own bidding and see where that gets me. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.Please re-post the hotels above along with the room rate per nite in US Dollars.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
