Hi, I am contemplating a trip to New Orleans this weekend and am looking for some guidance on bidding in the French Quarter and Downtown zones. 3.5* stars and up. Thanks very much as always for any help.

Check in on 6/29 for 2 nights. Budget is flexible but would like to keep it around $75 before taxes/fees. Thanks

A 4* hotel may be within your budget as well (even more likely if your budget is another $10 or so)... do you want to try for a 4* hotel up to your budget first OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? If you want to try for a 4* first, please advise if you want to increase the budget to ~$85 OR if want to keep it at $75? (we will of course try lower amounts first so don't feel that if you increase your budget that you'll necessarily be 'overpaying')

I am ok with increasing to $85 for a 4*. My preference would be French Quarter and then Downtown in that order.

Just tried to bid from $55-$70 for 4* French Quarter using the 5 re-bid zones. Kind of surprised I didn't get a win based on some of the other wins for the same dates on the board.

Is your next move to bid up to your limit for a 4* hotel in the French Quarter OR do you prefer a lower priced hotel in the Downtown zone? If the latter, how high do you want to bid for a 4* hotel in the Downtown zone? If that too is rejected, do you then want to bid higher for only the FQ zone or at that point is the goal the least expensive 4* or better in either zone?

Decided to use the HOTWIRE link and buy a 4* hotel in the Downtown zone for $68. Won the Intercontinental for 2 nights (6/29-6/30) with the following amenities.
