AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please keep all posts regarding this stay within this thread. There is no way to ensure or increase the odds of a particular property when bidding on PRICELINE. If you bid on a particular star rating and a particular area (4* MTE, for example) you have to be willing to accept any of the possibilities at that star rating within the zone. With HOTWIRE, one can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing, but there are no guarantees and the hotel you are looking for may not be showing (there is only 1 per star rating per zone per set of dates.)Just to confirm, are you looking for the W property in Midtown East or the W property Downtown? If you scroll over "see all" next to the MTE listing amenities, are there more than the ones listed above? If so, please list them here (amenities only, without descriptions.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
cranlemon
Hi thereThanks for your quick reply. I was looking for the W property in Downtown. Regarding Midtown East listing amenities, I scrolled over see all and the total number of amenities include:Fitness CenterRestaurant (s)Business CenterHigh speed internet AccessTennis NearbyMy dates are August 10th-12th and the listing comes up as $188 USD a night. From my research on this forum, it looks like the Intercontinental Barclay. I would be happy to book it if it is, as it is a good second choice for me after the W hotel. Could you give me your thoughts? Thanks for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
Best guess for this property would be the Grand Hyatt... followed-by the InterContinental Barclay or the Benjamin (if downgraded from the previously reported 4.5* level). The above are likely outcomes, but given the (mostly) common for this zone amenities, i wouldn't be totally surprised if it was a different property, but i do think one of the above is likely... but more importantly, the W Hotel wouldn't be one of my top 3 guesses for this property. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help.
