Hi -

I just wanted to post my win for the Palmer House - started at $55.00 and ended at $85.00. Am happy with this. I have a question. I saw after my win there was a link to extend my stay by adding another night. Do you know if this is sitll good? Is there a way to add another night at the same rate or would I need to rebid?

Thank you.

Congratulations on your success!

Looks like a nice deal, hope you're pleased with the results.

You can still use the 'Add a Nite' feature but there is no assurance that you will be successful adding the additional nite. If you try, PRICELINE will either respond with one of the following:

  • you've successfully extended your stay
  • a room is available but at a higher price than your previous bid (you'll then have the option to accept/reject the higher price)
  • no rooms available at any price

Note that when you try to extend your stay it's treated as a bid attempt, so are turned down and then want to try bidding for a room at a different hotel, you'll need to use re-bid zones (Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) in order to avoid the 24 hours lock-out. Any questions in this regard feel free to ask and/or start a NEW TOPIC if you'd like help bidding for the additional nite.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board.

Hi -

I tried twice to add another night through the link provided - no luck.

I also tried twice to add another night through bidding, using the re-bid zones, and still no luck. I believe my highest bid so far was $105.00. Does it look like I need to go higher? Do you think this is due to being a Friday, or is there something going hindering my attempts? I will keep trying. Am okay if I have to change hotels but would LOVE to get a seocnd night at Palmer.

Thanks.
