FishBulb
Hotwire is showing a 3* in North Austin with the following amenities:Fitness Center, Pool(s), Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Accessible for the blindLooking at the list of hotels here, these seem to match either the Hyatt Place Austin North Central or the La Quinta Austin North. Priceline lists the hotel as having a User Rating of 4 on TripAdvisor; TripAdvisor shows the Hyatt Place Austin North Central as a 3.5 and La Quinta Inn Austin North as only a 2.5. I'm tempted to book, but some of the reviews for a Quinta Inn Austin North are pretty dreadful. On the positive side, 90% of the Priceline users recommend the motel.Anyone have any insight? FishBulb
Dates are June 7-11. The full list of amenities is pasted below. I'm now inclined to think that it isn't the Hyatt, as their web site shows them fully booked for that weekend.3-star Hotel in North AustinThis Hotel features the following amenities:Fitness CenterPool(s)Laundry Facilities (self-service)High-Speed Internet AccessAccessible for the blindAccessible for the deafFree ParkingComplimentary BreakfastFree InternetAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped parkingRoll-in shower Link to comment
thereuare
Unfortunately this property has not yet been reported to the board, but i'm doubtful that this is the La Quint North.Do note that we have seen hotels won when their own website was otherwise showing a sold-out condition. This is more the exception then the rule, but you can't 100% rule out a property if their website shows that they're sold-out. in addition to the Hyatt Place, the Drury Inn and Suites Austin North, Country Inn and Suites, Habitat Suites, and Hampton Inn North would all be candidates for this property as well, but there could (likely ) be others as well. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. FishBulb
Thanks for the help. The price jumped $25/day overnight, so I'm holding off for now. If it (or the nearby 3.5*, likely the Crowne Plaza) come back closer to where they were in price yesterday, I'll book via this site and post the results here as well. Link to comment

The lack of better Hotwire rates was very likely due to the fact that our trip coincided with the Rally of Texas, which brought >100,000 visitors to town for that weekend. Thanks again for the assistance; great site.
