japaninator
I am trying to plan a trip for this weekend. I have the day off on the 25th, so the dates I'm looking at are 7/22 to 7/25. I'm thinking I might go to Wendover instead since it's 3 hours closer, but Las Vegas has so much more appeal. I know it's only 4 days away, but I thought that even if I've cut it too close to get a good deal for this weekend that I'd at least ask for help for future planning.I am new to Priceline bidding and I have gauged prices with Expedia and Orbitz. I'm not that picky when it comes to lodging, but I don't want to stay someplace where everything is broken and there are rats/insects, etc. Is it realistic to think that I could get a room at a nice 3* or 2.5* for around $50-$65/night? I am willing to split my bid for the Sunday night stay, and do anything else necessary (and of course, I'll use the Support links). I'm not stuck on Priceline, either, so I'd consider pretty much any deal.My hard upper limit for the 3 nights is $300, including taxes & fees, but really I'd rather have that be the budget for the entire trip (excluding gas), if possible. If I can get the Venetian for the Sunday night stay for around $100, then that would be the only reason I'd jump my budget. I've never been to Vegas, so if it is convenient enough to stay off the Strip and get to the Strip by shuttle or whatever, then I'm fine with that. If I've left out any important info, I would be happy to supply it.Thanks in advance. The site is great. Link to comment
thereuare
Based upon current rates at the Venetian you're not likely to get a room there on Sunday nite for $100. As well, $50-$60 is not realistic for a nice on-strip hotel, and if this is your first time to vegas, i highly recommend you stay on-strip.I would firm up your plans and decide if you want to go to Vegas or Wendover and then we'll be able to best help you find a Vegas deal if that's where you choose to go. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
japaninator
Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, my car decided to act up this week, so I will probably not go anywhere, unfortunately. Thanks for the help, thereuare. Link to comment
