thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The crossed out price is not necessarily the rate at the 'hidden' hotel, but rather the average rate of hotel(s) in the same zone at the same star rating for the dates of your stay.I agree that the best guess for this property would be the Luxor. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. nrain02
start bid at $135 north strip, then got a counter offer for $172 for the North area, declined.... added the south area bid $145, declined, added re-bid zone at $150 and got the New York New York. I guess not bad price for Memorial weekend, I cannot find a better deal for 4* online right now so I guess I am happy. I have never stayed at the nyny so hoping for the best! Link to comment

Snakedoctor
Hi, I'm a new member here. I'm trying to get MGM Grand or New York New York for 5/25-5/26 at the best possible price. I've read a lot of info on this site but can't figure out what my starting bid price should be on PL. Any help is appreciated. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates. To continue this discussion and help with your own stay, please start a NEW TOPIC and we'll assist you in the newly created thread. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
