Priceline Hotel: Help 3* Shreveport 1 Night (Road Trip)

I am looking to go on a road trip the week of 6/17 to 6/24 with the following hotel stays:

6/17 (one night) - Saint Louis, MO

6/18 (one night) - Memphis, TN

6/19 (one night) - Shreveport, LA

6/20-6/23 (three nights) - Austin, TX

6/23 (one night) - Memphis, TN

I am looking to stay in no less than a 3-star hotel in each city and my ideal bid per night is about $60-80. Is this road trip possible for that price?

In terms of outlying areas versus the downtown areas, I am willing to drive 30 minutes or so from the hotel to the touristy areas if it means I will get to save on things like free parking. I have not been to any of these cities before, so I will likely be doing some basic touristy stuff and just walking around to get a feel for the cities in the limited time I spend there.

I would like to recommend Bossier City instead of Shreveport. All of the 3 star hotels I'm aware of in Bossier are in good parts of town.

HINT: Go to Country Kitchen for breakfast, corner of Industrial Drive and Texas Street (Hwy 80) for breakfast. They have the best biscuits you will find anywhere!

When bidding in the Shreveport region, the 'Central' zone only goes as high as 2*, but Bossier City goes as high as 3* (and the Airport as higher as 2.5*)... did you want to keep your star rating at 3* and only have a chance at a hotel in the Bossier City zone... or lower your star rating?

At the 3* level you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

As we don't have a lot of history here i would take this in two parts:

Select 3* Bossier City...

Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $45, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3* Bossier City and re-bid zone2...

Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $55

If the above is rejected wait 24 hours and repeat:

Select 3* Bossier City...

Bid $58, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $60, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 3* Bossier City and re-bid zone2...

Bid $63, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $65

If the above is rejected you can book Diamondjacks Casino And Resort for $70/nite.

Thanks for finding DiamondJacks Casino for me. I tried Priceline again today to no avail and went with DiamondJacks. Staying at a casino one night will be a nice change of hotel scenery during the road trip, the hotels for which have now been completely booked.

Also, although i wasn't keeping track, i know you got at least a few hotels under your original price points so i think you probably came in well under budget!
