CassieL
Me and my fiance are planning to go to Vegas on May 14 - May 17 and we would like to get a hotel with 5*. Prefer Wynn or if not Aria. Since it's weekday the max we would like to pay will be $110/night. I'm new to this board and I really don't understand how the re-bid zone work. I read the instruction but I'm kind of confused. I also saw it says the Hotel List is not 100% accurate so how that affect the re-bid zone? Please help and thanks a lot! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! To begin...You can't bid on a specific hotel when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.Let us know your thoughts as to how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and please click each of these links before replying.Thank you. pcvtre
I won on priceline for those dates at the Cosmo for $115. With Priceline you cannot choose the hotel, only the star level. Link to comment
CassieL
Thank you for the replies. I understand I can't specifically choose certain hotel but those are just what we prefer. We just don't really want Trump or Vdara. And prefer North strip too. Do you suggest Hotline or priceline? Saw a lot of winning on Trump for North strip which I'm scare. Link to comment

CassieL
I will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links here before I bid for the hotel for sure. So we have decided, 5* strip north or south, no Vadara or Trump for about $110 per night from May 16-May18, is that possible? And how? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
...no Vadara or Trump...Trump is in the Strip North Vicinity (which is different then the 'Strip North' zone) so you should be able to avoid this property by not including this zone in your bidding. However, no way to avoid the Vdara if you bid 5* Strip South, unless you decide to go with HOTWIRE, where i think the Cosmopolitan is currently offered for ~$128/nite.Let us know hos you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. CassieL
I just check Vdara website and I do like it. Is Vdara right on the strip? If it's then I don't mind Vdara, and kind of love it there. Link to comment
thereuare
Yes, the Vdara is considered to be 'on the strip'.When bidding 5* in Las Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip North and Strip South (making sure not to accidentally select Strip North Vicinity)...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $93, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $103, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $108, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $113, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115Any questions feel free to ask. (i went up to $115 based upon the other user's winning bid for these dates, but you're of course free to stop at whatever amount you're comfortable with, although i will add that i do think you have a good chance at winning within $110 or less)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
