Trying to bid for 2 rooms, 4 nights 5/7/12-5/11/12, 4* Hotel, 1st choice zone Times Square, 2nd choice zone Soho Tribeca

Travelling with others, Times Square may be the better option for them - first time visitors, easy walking, I would prefer Soho Tribeca (been to NYC a few times), currently looking at maximum bid of $200+plus tax, but it may not be enough for times square seeing a recent winner of $225, others don't want to go below 4*, may consider going above 200, will need to discuss

Unsucessful bids - 160, 165, 170, 175, 180

4* Times Square - Unsuccessful bid up to $180+tax = $218/night

Posted Winners

4* Times Square - Winner $205+tax = $249, Winner $225+tax = $271, Average Retail $449+tax

I think you're right that $200 may not be enough for these dates in either of these zones, but to give it a try...

At the 4* level in NYC you have SEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Looks like a nice deal if you're not able to get anything in midtown at $200 or less via PRICELINE.

If you didn't, please note that we're an affiliate of Hotels.com as well as most other major hotel chains and online booking agencies, please check for and use the links in our Support Page for your non-opaque purchases.

Can you please close this thread.

I am sticking with the Mondrian Soho booked through hotels.com

I didn't have any luck bidding on Priceline up to $205 in times square and soho, so very happy with the hotels.com rate $195+tax, less than I was bidding. It must have been just a one day sale as I was bidding the day before and checking hotels and didn't see it, then the next day booked it as soon as I saw it, checked back the day after and was no longer available on hotels and gone up to $465 on Priceline
