thetravelgod Posted March 31, 2012 Report Share Posted March 31, 2012 Bidding History Started at $34 and won at $56 using $2 increments w/ multiple free-rebidsCounter offer recvd at $50 to add $14 to bid for ttl of $64 (declined of course)Counter offer recvd at $54 to add $10 to bid for ttl of $64 (declined of course)Happy with the win as rack rate on Marriott website is 199.00 plus taxMy out the door price is $56.00 plus $14.95 taxes/fees for ttl of $70.95Yes -- I bid thru the PRICELINE link!Now gotta get a room for 4/22 - 1 night and wishing for lower rates since this is a Sunday night (generally slowest night of the week)FYI -- also tried bidding for a 3.5* .. started at 34 and worked up to 52 but no luck...was kinda wishing forthe Marriott Gateway (DEN Airport) we got back in Early March 2012....and 48 seems to be the sweet spot for that property.
