googz
I've bid a number of times in the last week on the 3.5* Buffalo (Amherst) hotel aiming for the Marriott to stay there March 11th and 12th. I've added other Buffalo areas in rebids and have bid from $65 all the way up to $95 with no luck so far. I've seen successful bids just before my dates and just after my dates for less than $90/night. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to why my dates (Sunday & Monday nights) are seemingly high priced or unavailable. Or any bidding suggestions to try and book this hotel? I've bid and won this hotel multiple times in the past, but never this high of a price and that's been for weekends vs Sunday/Monday this time. My limit is about $120/night all fees/taxes included.Thanks.... Link to comment

mgenie
I just got the Hotel Indigo in Amherst. It seems to show up as a 3.5* now... i paid 89$. Link to comment
buteos
Hotel Indigo is right next door to the Marriott. I can't believe the Marriott went down to 3 stars. It was getting a pretty good renovation which was almost done in December. Link to comment
mgenie
I don't think it went down to 3 stars. Indigo got bumped up to 3.5*, so now there are two in the area (Marriott + Indigo).I overbid, somebody just got Indigo for 70$. Link to comment
