thereuare
As well as your maximum budget per nite, are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare
My guess is that you're budget is not going to be enough for a midtown hotel for these dates, however, if you to give it a try, did you want to try first for a 4* hotel? If so, at the 4* level you have SEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* TS, MTW, MTE...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. If the above is rejected post back and we'll revise to try for a 3.5* (although note that at the 3.5* level there are some hotels in the MTE zone which can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway, would this be acceptable?)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. chicaouerj
Hello,I tried bidding until 135$, a 3,5* hotel in MTW and TS, and i don't gain... I think that will be necessary to make a split. Any suggestions? Thank You!! Link to comment
AaronJB
Rates look fairly similar across the board for these dates, so not sure if splitting the stay will be an effective strategy for these dates. Did you want to try up to your $150 max first?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
chicaouerj
Ok, I go to $150. Actually, i finished my re-bids yesterday... today i'll try the $150... Thank you!! :D Link to comment
thereuare
Hello, i'd want to get a 3.5 or 4* in TS or MTE or MTW...I tried bidding ... in MTW and TS...Are these now the only two zones that are acceptable? Do you prefer to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID before considering other nearby zones? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. chicaouerj
At the moment, i desire the MTW and TS, but i still bid to MTE and nothing... :( My max was 170$ for 3.5* in MTW and TS, and $150 for 3.5* in MTE. Is it possible that when are more close i win better rates? Thank you! Link to comment
thereuare
Is it possible that when are more close i win better rates?Yes, rates could come down between now and your stay... or they could move even higher; it all depends upon how actual reservations/cancellations come in relative to a hotel's expectations. If you're bidding 3.5* in the MTE zone be sure to note our comments above:Any questions feel free to ask. If the above is rejected post back and we'll revise to try for a 3.5* (although note that at the 3.5* level there are some hotels in the MTE zone which can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway, would this be acceptable?)Keep us updated on your progress and how we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
