I actually booked this back on Feb 3rd, but just recently registered. The hotel rate as of today for that weekend is $74.

Amenities included: Boutique Hotel, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access

(this hotel also has FREE PARKING, which I consider to be a very important amenity in downtown Chicago, but Hotwire doesn't list it)

Trip Advisor rating was showing 4.0 out of 5.0 at the time of booking.

This hotel is just a few walking blocks (or a ~$5 cab ride) from McCormick Place and is one of the only hotels in the area that doesn't charge anything for parking! The weekend I reserved is for the C2E2 comic convention. Decent hotel especially for the price, free wi-fi. Not the prettiest location, but fantastically close to McCormick. I've stayed here before. On one stay, the room had very, very little amenities....not even a pen and notepad. I think they provided soap but that was about it. But the room was clean. We've gotten a range of quality from the front desk service - from very laid back and friendly, to practically being ignored.

FYI, I just today booked this hotel for a Food Show in May through Priceline. Hotwire's rate was up to $86, but I bid and won it for $70 on Priceline for that weekend. So you may want to try your luck with Priceline first, and bid LOW!
