Just found out we need a 1 night stay near airport so we can return car early am for flight. We will be coming in from Ft Meyers and want to be close to airport. Do we use airport zone or would west plantation work? WOuld like a 3* or higher. We need to bid by tomorrow because we won't have computer access for the week before. The night we need would be 2/26 1 night. Thanks

Depends on how early you want to wake up I guess. West Fort Lauderdale-Plantation could be 15-20 minutes from the airport.. I live in Davie (just south of Plantation) and I'm about 10 minutes west of the airport... West Fort Lauderdale-Sawgrass (including Weston) can take 30+minutes depending on traffic. You can also consider Hollywood or Hollywood Beach as the airport is really more in Hollywood.

I'm thinking the closer the better so I'll start with airport use my free bids and have a back up plan just in case. I bid airport yesterday $62 for a 3 * then $60 for a 2.5 *. I'm thinking I need to nail it with this next bid to be done with it. Obviously I'm a bit low on bidding. Any suggestions

Another option to consider would be the Downtown zone, which in Fort Lauderdale is very close to the airport.

HOTWIRE has a 3* hotel for $57 in their Las Olas - Downtown - Port Everglades zone with:

Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business

This matches previous reports for the Hyatt Place Airport North and this would be my best guess for this one. Does this HOTWIRE offer for your plans? (Google puts the distance as 4miles/8minues to the airport)

Thank you for the heads up. I see the $57 on hotwire so I did a 3.5* priceline $60 no avail, rebid $55 3.0* and hit with Hyatt Place Ft Lauderdale 17th St Convention Center so a great deal. Used your PRICELINE link! THANKS
