Welcome to BetterBidding!

The price of the 4* is irrelevant to what it will cost for you for a 5* hotel (the only relevance is you say to yourself "once i get to $xx for a 5* i'd just as soon save the money and get the 4* for $80).

With the above noted, looking at rates for your dates i'm guessing a 5* would likely run ~$110-$140 (but i'd of course start lower and work your way up). Is this within your budget? If you let us know your maximum bid we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Well, I ended up booking directly with Vdara: $152 after 10% AAA discount. I get a $100 dining voucher that I plan to use at Sage. The voucher effectively drops the rate to $102 per night. I'm very much looking forward to the meal and hotel in a non-smoking establishment!
