Assuming I was still going to get the same hotel, but who knows.... Was seeing a lot of Hyatt Regency's around this date and was hoping for that, but will just be there for 2 days and 1 night, so it will be fine... Link to comment

AaronJB Posted December 20, 2011 Report Share Posted December 20, 2011 This property is slightly better located on the other side of the river from the Hyatt. I also frequently recommend Fox and Obel Market and Cafe, which is a couple of blocks East of the hotel on the corner of Illinois/McClurg. Very nice cafe (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and the gourmet market is a fun place to grab a treat/snack for the day.I'd also recommend requesting a high floor room; the hotel could say no, but while you may not get a lakeview (which I believe is a paid upgrade), some of the basic higher floor rooms do at least have nice views of the surrounding area.
