WOW - This is a first for me....Just went on the hotel's web site and I could have gotten a room for $30 - $90!! My bad for not fully doing my homework I suppose. They have various types of rooms/towers (Motor Lodge, Luxury Tower, Concierge, Dolphin, etc.). Not sure if all are 4* rated. Hopefully I'll get my moneys worth!

Apply to get the difference back from Priceline as they guarantee the lowest rates (although you may be looking at different room classes).

Hotwire is often a good choice in Reno and should also be checked.

If you pursue the 'gurantee' with Priceline let us know how it goes.

It's over the 24hr period that Priceline will refund the difference, but I went ahead and wrote them anyway. Here is my note:

"I found the hotel room I won on Priceline at a cheaper rate, directly from the hotel's web site.

I paid $40/night. They offer $30.95.

Please refund the difference."

We'll see what happens!

On another note, I called the hotel to find out what tower my room is in. I'm in the "Luxury Tower". Checked it out on the website, doesn't look 4 * to me. The hotel assures me that it is....we'll see!

Priceline got back to me right after I sent them the email. (sorry it has taken me awhile to post!)

I have indeed seen the refund on my credit card statement.

The Atlantis hotel was cheesey, but fine. I would not rate it a 4* hotel, more like 3*. Nice amenities, but it could use a facelift and new linens.

I had a great room. I was upgraded to a room with a hot tub IN the room (right next to the bed!).
