Traida
I'm looking for some guidance here. I see in the Hotwire hotel list for South Lake Tahoe, NV the only 4* with casino listed is Harrah's. I also noticed that others have received Harrah's for their 4* bids earlier in the year.Upon looking at the Hotwire site directly I see that both Harrah's AND Harvey's are listed in the "more hotels" section as 4*.I was hoping that someone could confirm a recent bid getting Harrah's for the Jan/Feb/March time frame.Thank you in advance for all of your help - great site - great community involvement! Traida
Links clicked.Dates: 2/2/12~2/7/12Rates just went up significantly (or they sold out of the Harvey's/Harrah's locations). My fear was expecting Harrah's and getting stuck at Harvey's. Link to comment

thereuare
Can you post what you ended up doing for this stay, even if not PRICELINE or HOTWIRE; and if you did use one of the opaque services, the details of your purchase. No matter how you booked, the information can likely help another user in the future, as well as keep the board better organized by adding a conclusion to your thread.Thanks. Traida
My apologies. I actually used HOTWIRE but not the "hot rates" method. I found a better deal available via the "more hotels" tab for Harrah's. I locked in a rate of $81/night (the "hot rate" was $91) and the room was reserved but I did not have to pay instantly.I still do not know if Harrah's is the only 4* in South Lake Tahoe or if Harvey's has joined the Hotwire list though so I apologize for not being able to help there.I do still see both Harvey's and Harrah's listed as 4* on the "more hotels" tab for Hotwire though so I suspect that they are both available in the 4* "hot rate".
