Just passing through the city and needed a hotel near the airport for 1 night. Luckily, in Fort Lauderdale everything is by the airport!

First Bid:

$50 - 4* Fort Lauderdale Beach Area - Rejected

Second Bid:

$50 - 4* added Hollywood - Rejected

Third Bid:

Honestly, I knew that $50 was a bit low for a 4* hotel and I only plan on staying there for a short time before catching a very early morning flight. Therefore, I added FLL zone (airport) and reduced star category knowing that there were no 4* hotels in the FLL zone (that was okay with me). I also reduced my bid.

$45 - 3* added FLL - Accepted

Interestingly enough, my bid was accepted at the Beach area, not the airport, and I thought would happen. (Note: If I really wanted a 4* hotel, I would not have changed my star level and add a zone at the same time.)

Hotel site lists rooms at a price of $96.

I am indeed happy with my Priceline win! The beach is very close to the airport (approx 5 miles) and I'd rather hear the ocean than the roar of the planes.
