Stads_NC
Looking at a $93 DuPont Circle item for tomorrow night (9/10): fitness, restaurant, business center. According to the hotel list, this is either the St. Gregory or the Hotel DuPont. As I most definitely do not want the St. Gregory, is there a way to further distinguish between the two? Is there a difference in percentage of "Hotwire customer reviews" that recommend perhaps?TIA,Stads Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Unfortunately, the HOTWIRE customer % is not a reliable indicator, and have been seen to change from search-to-search at times (additionally, there's nothing to check the current % against.) The tripadvisor rating is a way to try to know, but unfortunately, the tripadvisor rating on this listing (4/5) is the exact same for both the Dupont and St Gregory.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Stads_NC
Aaron, thanks for the reply. Your point about the "recommended" percentage is well taken. I noticed that upon updating the Hotwire listings that the "recommended" percentage dropped from 90% to 85%. I'll wind up booking another hotel; so, I won't have a follow up on this listing. For what it's worth, I looked at pricing for the DuPont and the St. Gregory: this Hotwire listing would be a $100 discount to the price on the DP website. The St. Gregory's website lists a base price far more in line with the typical Hotwire discount. Additionally, the St. Gregory was the only one to show up in Priceline listings. So, I'm reasonably sure this Hotwire listing is the SG. Link to comment
