teya
I was planning to try at $95, which I have gotten before, and got cold feet with the Priceline suggestion of going higher since "based on current data" the average price for a 4* in this area is $276. So instead I upped it to $105, still thinking I wouldn't get it, but did on first try. Surprised, especially for the first night of a Holiday weekend. I really like this hotel and am looking forward to a last-minute "staycation" for a special event. Standard rates on the website start at $249, plus a resort fee of $30.00. I assume I will be charged the resort fee on check-in. Will update post visit. Also, I had intended to check Resort, since this was the property I was hoping for and thought it was a Resort category but instead checked 4*/Deluxe and got it, so apparently Priceline also includes the Marriott Beach Resort as a property in the 4* even though I see others have posted it as a win in the Resort category. Or is it just that you can win a property that is rated at a higher level? Room - $105.00Taxes/fees - 22.72Total charges - $127.72Resort fee? - $30Total? - $157.72 Link to comment

teya
Yes, there was a resort fee of $30, which covered the parking fee ($25) and two free mai tais. We were upgraded at no extra cost to an ocean-view room in recognition of our anniversary, which was very nice. Very sweet! And yes, I always try to use the PRICELINE link. Thanks! Link to comment
