BayArea1227
I got this bid on my 2nd try. I first checked the PRICELINE website and saw how much the prices were for the area and star rating for certain hotels. I had checked the list of hotels that was in the Priceline Hotel List - California and I didn't see a 2.5 hotel listed, so therefore I thought that I would have a possible re-bid zone and may get an upgrade to a 3* hotel. Well no such luck! Started at 3* with West Covina at $62 - RejectedAdded 2.5* with West Covina at $68 - Accepted but not the hotel which I would want to stay at. :) I guess I'll make the most of it. I used the PRICELINE link provided on top of the BetterBidding board.Best Western Plus West Covina Inn3275 E. Garvey Avenue North West Covina, CA 91791 Check-In: Wed, Aug 17, 2011 / After 03:00 PMCheck-Out: Thu, Aug 18, 2011 / 12:00 PMOffer Price: Avg. per room, per night $80.00 Room Subtotal: $68.00 Taxes & Fees: $16.46Total Charges: $84.46I also called this Best Western to see if I could get two queen beds. The gentleman that answered said that I'll get charged an additional $15.00 for an extra bed. I guess I have to eat the cost and I've learned my lesson by not bidding on a lower star in hopes of it being a rebid tactic. The Priceline Hotel List - California should get updated with the 2.5 Hotel in West Covina. Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry to see you received a hotel you weren't expecting. There are some instances where it's believed that PRICELINE offers bidding at a star level even though they don't have contracts with hotels at that star level, but it's usually good policy to assume that if a star rating is offered... then there is a hotel in the zone at that rating.Hopefully you'll be able to make this work for your needs.Thank you for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding and sharing your results, helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List.Enjoy your stay.
