Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Newark (Meadowlands-Rutherford) Renaissance

I tried to book a hotel at Hoboken - Jersey City for Aug 17- Aug 20, Hotwire came up with two hotels.

4* 172/night, 2 and half * 109/night

I cannot locate them from the Hotwire hotel list, please help me out, many thanks.

BTW, I bid on PriceLine last night for 4* hotel at this area, started at 90/night till 120/night, all got rejected, I will try again on PL tonight and report back.

Forgot to mention, I used the HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links from this site.

If you're currently bidding $120 for a 4* hotel on PRICELINE... is a HOTWIRE 4* at 172 or a 2.5* at $109 something you're seriously considering at the moment, or is the game plan to continue to bid higher on PRICELINE?

The search boxes are at the top of the page, and the logos in the search boxes are clickable as well... in addition to the links in my signature. Do you need more than these?

Did you need a suggested strategy for your next round of Hoboken/Jersey City bidding?

If you do work your way upwards toward $172 i think you'll start to approach a price where you can get a nice hotel in Manhattan for the same amount of money, if that's is of interest.

I intended to get the hotel for Jersey City, however PriceLine ended up giving me the hotel at Meadowlands, I don't think this is a good deal at all.

Did you add re-bid zones? Or was your only zone Jersey City?

I assume you either left re-bid zones from a previous 4* bid selected when you lowered to 3.5* OR lowered your star rating by mistake?

Neither, this is a long story, lesson learned: PRICELINE is very tricky, be careful whenever you "try again" your previous request.

I will open a new thread later on to share my experience, I don't think it only happened to me.
