I have been trying for Paris 4* in Opera East / West and Latin Q.. for 8/24-8/28 Up to $170 no luck.

ANyone with any successes 8/24-8/28?

If you check the Calendar of Wins (center of this page), selecting your dates and "Other Countries - Priceline", you can see all the successful bids reported to this site. The Administrators put winning bids in as soon as they are reported. And while you are there, checking "Other Countries - Hotwire" sometimes yields a little more information.

At the moment there is only one reported 3*, but maybe your post will succeed in getting somebody else to post their information.

Depending upon how flexible your travel plans are, the more zones you are willing to consider, the better your chances of success.

Hope something works for you. Another poster in a different thread was suggesting rates might come down a bit with this recent stock market drop since people might be doing some canceling. For that matter, the stock market drop might strengthen the US dollar, and that would also help.

Research the dates in HOTWIRE and see how much it's going for there. It'll give you an idea of how close your bid might be.

Also OQW and OQE are the hardest to win, obviously.

As for the Latin Quarter, two of the hotels that are won the most are Marriot Rive Gauche and Pullman Montparnarsse. Check those respective hotel sites, see what the retail rates are.
