trentslori
I consider myself a pretty experienced Priceline bidder, as I've done this many many times, and LOVE Priceline and the bidding process. I've warned many people to be careful about zones...to check them right before you bid, etc. I can tell you that tonight I made a mistake I didn't think I made. Priceline has me getting Trump. I thought I was careful NOT to addthis zone. It's their word against mine, and being human I guess I have to accept that it was my error. Anyway....we are stuck with Trump 11/5-11/8 for $81 per night. I even called Priceline to see if there was any way out of this, and they said no. I will accept responsibility as it must have been my error, but I know better and find it hard to accept that out of all those zones, I added this one in when it's the one I didn't want. That being said, it is certainly not the end of the earth that we are staying at a 5-star hotel for $81 per night. However, we didn't want this location and had we been going for Trump, I am Priceline-savvy enough to have tried to get it for even less. Link to comment
Steven Seagal
Yeah, that's Las Vegas Strip North Area, that's why I am going to also not include that zone but now will take a screenshot of my screen when bidding to make sure that I have proof I didn't select that zone, thanks for the tip. thereuare
Sorry to see you received a zone you didn't intend, but as all three Strip zones are on top of one another in the list of zones, and look very similar, it's easy to make a mistake.I assume under the hotel name and above the address it indicates "Strip North Condo"?At least $81 is a pretty good rate for this 5* property... hope you can make it work for your needs.Enjoy your stay. Steven Seagal
thereuare on a recent check of Hotwire for my upcoming trip, which I didn't end up purchasing, it doesn't list the Trump as a condo, it just says Strip Area North. Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for the info, but this was a PRICELINE purchase, and PRICELINE and HOTWIRE use different zone names (and boundaries). trentslori
Now that I've calmed down a bit, I did go back and check it and it does say North Condo. Definitely my error. I know I could've gotten it much cheaper, as I had started my bidding for North and South zones at $69, and had just added that wrong zone after bidding in small increments up to $81. Trump looks like it's $97 on Hotwire for the same dates, but only $109 as a regular price.By the way, I always go through the links from Better Bidding. Link to comment

erg626
Note about Priceline and canceling - If you have not used the room stay yet, do a chargeback on your credit card if you must get out of it. I had this situation last year with a family emergency and could not go. I did get a full refund this way. Just push hard first with PL and then do the credit card route.Hope this helps!Still $81 for here is great. I stayed here last year for $100. Super nice rooms, amazing strip views from 1/2 the rooms, bathroom is just elegance. Con - need to take a shuttle to get to main part of strip or a long walk. No casino, which some people may like. Their resort fee also, but that is common now. Link to comment
