EL_91024
I have been trying to bid on a 4* hotel in Millenium-Loop-Grant Park and have had no luck. Started at $40 and is now up to $95 and still getting rejected. I have tried adding NMA-River North as well. Any ideas on how much higher I should go? Or any tips? Please help. Link to comment

mark2000
EL_91024, could you tell us what kind of re-bid zones you've tried and what dates you're looking for?See my recent Priceline Chicago thread - I also bid $75, $85 and $90 in MP-L-GP for next week - nothing. But too afraid to try re-bid zones, for fear of winning a property I don't want. Link to comment
EL_91024
I have been using your PRICELINE link and bidding and still no luck. I am now up to $118 for 4* in Millenium-Loop-Grant Park and NMA-River North area.Do you have any ideas on how much higher I should go? I've also checked regular rates for the Palmer House Hilton and their rates are only at $159... would it make more sense to just book that?I haven't tried the free re-bid zones since i'm afraid i'm not understanding the process correctly. However for 4*, would Midway and Skokie be the free re-bid zones I would use? Thanks for your help... Link to comment
Stephanie83
If you follow this link, it's very helpful and helps you understand the process.I have been trying for the same area and no luck even in re bidding. Good luck!Priceline Re-Bidding Explained Link to comment
thereuare
Rates are not high for your dates so i'm a little surprised by your rejections. There are a few HOTWIRE options just a touch higher then you're current bidding, so i'd be inclined to give the bidding another week. When bidding 4* in Chicago you have SIX re-bid zones. Please see re-bid and see if you can determine/confirm your SIX re-bid zones with the board. If you read the previous link and are still confused just post back and we'll break it down further for you. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. EL_91024
Thanks for your help... I think I figured out the re-bid zones. I used your PRICELINE link and I'm up to about $130 now and still no luck. I'm looking into the Hotwire options now. I'll be sure to use the HOTWIRE link on this board if I decide to book with Hotwire. Thanks for your help Link to comment
AaronJB
On HOTWIRE, there's a 4* Mag Mile-Streeterville for $136; at this point, I'd consider taking that rather than moving higher on PRICELINE.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. EL_91024
Thanks for your advice... I figured I would try PRICELINE one more time before going with HOTWIRE... Using your PRICELINE link I tried my first bid at $128 for Millenium-Loop and was rejected however given a re-bid offer for $148. I did not take the re-bid offer. I added NMA-River North and bidded $132. Bid was accepted for the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel. Thanks for everyones help! Link to comment
