mega56
Hey Guys, I don't see many wins for 4* for downtown portland in august. Any ideas where I should start? I'm hoping my upper ceiling would be $120/night. Dates:08/18/11-08/22/11Thanks Link to comment
slruud
Just for reference, Lastminutetravel.com has the Benson for $134/nite, and the Hilton...3.5* on Priceline for $84/nite. Link to comment
thereuare
mega,Rates are high for these dates and i'm not sure that $120 will be enough for a 4*, you may want to consider the LMT options above provided by slruud. To give bidding a try:When bidding 4* in Portland you have TEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Downtown...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $108, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $113, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $118, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.PS- can you please follow-up your previous Priceline Las Vegas thread with whatever you decided to do for that stay. Mamiya
I have a 3 night stay in Portland coming up 8/23-26 and was unable to get a 4 star hotel for $120 with 4 bidding attempts over the past week. I finally went with LMT and the Hilton which I believe is arguably as good as or better than some other Portland hotels which are rated 4 Stars. Portland tends to be slim pickings over the summer.
