Booked this with yesterday's 24 hour "bonus cash" promotion I received by e-mail. Final bid price was $160 + $5 bonus cash.

I have been trying for quite a while for a booking for these dates. Is something special happening in San Fran at this time?

This is the most I've ever paid on Priceline for this area. Previously stayed at Le Meridien for $110 (although that was August 2009). I do notice a booking just before my dates at the Hyatt for $85/night.

Usually started my bidding at $95-$100/night and worked up higher using various combinations. Accepted at $165 with the bonus cash with no counter offers during the bidding.

Final calculations:

Bonus cash - $20

Offer price - $160/night

Subtotal: $640

Taxes: $115.04

Total: $755.04

Still a good savings off regular price.

Congratulations on your success!

Not sure what is happening in the area for these dates, but we have a lot of users local to and/or familiar with this area, that if something is happening, i suspect they'll be sure to let us know.

While not inexpensive, given the higher then usual rates, glad to see you're happy with the deal your received.

Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay.
