Based upon currently rates i don't think $165 (which comes to about $200 after fees and taxes) will be enough for a 3.5* or better for this stay. However, do you wan to first try for a 4* up to your limit before including 3.5* in your bidding... or is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay?

Also, at the 4* level is there a reason you're not including CPS in your bidding? At the 3.5* i see you're including MTE in your bidding... do note that some of the hotels in this zone can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway... is this acceptable?

Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.

May we remove MTE and put in CPS? I would like to try the 4* first and then the 3.5*.

At the 4* level MTE and CPS should both work out fine... all 'known' hotels at the 4* level in each zone are 'good' and centrally located.

However, each has their own issues at the 3.5* level:

MTE - hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway

CPS - contains the Hudson Hotel with notoriously small rooms (even by NYC standards)

At 4* do you wan to include both zones?

At 3.5* do you want to include/exclude either or both zones?

Please confirm and we'll suggest a strategy to follow.

OK, so to confirm...

At the 4* level you're bidding: ESB, MTW, TS (there are currently no 4* hotels offered in the MSG zone)

At the 3.5* level you're bidding: ESB, MTW, MSG, TS

If we have it correct, at the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones, at the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.
