Kiwi_in_KC Posted July 2, 2011 Report Share Posted July 2, 2011 I really wanted a 3.5* at the airport, expecting to get it for around $55 based on bookings reported in this priceline forum, and started at $40, going up in $2 increments except on my last bid when I was pretty sure I would got the Franklin/Cool Springs area so I increased my final bid by $1.This tells me that there can be better rates available when the hotel has a lower booked occupancy a few days out and as they get closer to the date and have reached some predetermined metric they increase the price they will accept.
