USbound
Hi everyoneIt's my first time to Vegas - can't wait.I was hoping the forum could advise whether it would be better to wait to book for these nights or book now? We're prepared to be pretty flexible with accomodation and in an ideal world we would like to get away with a bargain of $120 per night or a bit more. The Monte Carlo already has $120 pn for these dates. Are they likely to keep dropping? The only requirement we have for accomodation is a room with two beds as I'm travelling with my Mum (or Mom as you guys say in the US!). A location on strip would also be fantastic so we can cram as much in as possible. Neither Mum nor I are gamblers so the casino facilities aren't really a concern. A great pool would be a real plus.Fortunately the nights we're in LV are Sunday-Tuesday and it doesn't look like there are many conventions on yet at that time. The hotels I really like the look of are NYNY, Paris, Monte Carlo, Venetian, Aladdin and The Hotel at Mandalay Bay (pet food (!) conference on there on the last night I think). Alternatively we were considering a suite so that we can avoid the huge meals 3 times a day. The Carriage House gets great reviews on tripadvisor.com for relatively little $$.What does everyone think? Any advice is greatly appreciated.Thank you! Link to comment
thereuare
You should only considering staying on the strip.Rates in Vegas fluctuate more so than any other market that i know of... the Monte Carlo rate should be cancellable so book that to lock in a decent rate. Continue to monitor rates to see if you can better the deal as your date approaches. The Monte Carlo has an excellent pool. searbyb
You might like to consider the Flamingo - their Internet special at http://www.playcaesars.com/flamingo/lasveg...plash/siteside/Has rates of $110 for 18th 19th and 20th Sept. This carries the usual 48 hour cancellation provision. I also understand it has an excellent pool. Link to comment
thereuare
Between the Flamingo at $110 and Monte Carlo at $120... take the Monte Carlo (imo). Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
