I was so satisfied with this property after checking in that I decided to try to extend my stay, using the Priceline option.

I did not have high expectations, as the going prepaid rate on the hotel web site was significantly higher for this Sunday night stay ($161 vs. $98 for the initial Saturday night).

But the extension bid was successful, resulting in a 72% saving! May well be my personal best :)

I really do like this place... and wanted to further extend my stay for a 3rd night.

I could no longer use the Priceline "extend your stay" option, so I had to try a new bid.

But as the cheapest going rate for that night on the hotel website was $339, I thought my chances were close to nil.

I was wrong!

So let me check: $44 vs $339, a 87% discount.

Needless to say, a new personal best! :)
