LA New Orleans Hotel Monaco CBD

We had a great time at the Hotel Monaco. We stayed over a long weekend in May. I booked 2 rooms, each had a king bed. One room had no view but was very large. The other had a great room but was much smaller. I would recommend this hotel.

Pros

* Great decor and very clean in lobby and rooms

* Aveda Bath Products

* Wine reception for one hour in the afternoon offering good wine and chair massages (all free)

* Leopard print robes in the rooms

* Good location

* Pet friendly, or if you don't bring your pet they will lend you a goldfish

* Our toilet was messed up when we arrived but once I called it was fixed almost immediately.

Cons

* Service was good, but really no better than any 3* I've been to

* Although there is a Concierge desk, there was not a concierge present during our entire stay. I had to wait in line at the front desk to ask for simple directions.

* I emailed the hotel before I arrived with my Kimpton In-Touch number and room requests, and received an email reply. However, at check-in there was no record of my email
