After searching around and realizing that hotels in Honolulu are quite pricey, we felt Priceline would be our best option for a short 3 day visit. Only wanted Waikiki Beach so we used the 3 free re-bid zones to price search.

Day 1: Bid $105, rejected with counter at $130, until reaching $120 using $5 increments. All rejected.

Day 2: Bid $115, rejected with counter at $145, until reaching $125 using $5 increments. ACCEPTED at $125 per night.

We got Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa located on Waikiki Beach near Kuhio Beach Park. Ranked #22 by TripAdvisor and 85% TripAdvisor Traveler Rating. Although they are going renovations until September, this is a great location and deal for a 4-star accommodation. Rack rate on this same room would be $261.15/night or $783.45 USD total via Hyatt's website. My priceline total was $440.64 USD which is a 43% savings!! This considering that some 3-star hotels were in the $150+/per night range via travel booking websites.

And as always, I used Betterbidding.com's PRICELINE link to start my purchase.

Regards,

Carbo
