Twinkle.Lyphard
Since the previous bidding in NYC is not pleased, I am now considering staying in Jersey City instead. It seems like the transportation is convenient between NYC and JC. So, could you please provide some help for bidding in this area? Is $100 or less possible for June 18-23? Also, will the room so tiny as NYC's? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Also, will the room so tiny as NYC's?No... but you still run the risk of receiving a room with only one bed.If you don't want to take this risk (as you've already been burned once), from my reply to your other thread:... bid for 2 rooms on PRICELINE or use HOTWIRE and search for triple occupancy. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Twinkle.Lyphard
Actually, if the room is not too small to add in an extra bed, it will be fine with me. The reason regarding NYC is that the room is so tiny. I think Jersey City is not as seriously on demand as Manhattan is, and thus the room may be more flexible upon arrival. Link to comment

Twinkle.Lyphard
Priceline shows Jersey City has 3.5* hotels, but I don't see any in the list. So, are they new hotels or updated from 3*? Link to comment
AaronJB
No hotels at the 3.5* level have been reported in this zone, and there may not be any at that level.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

Jersey city is the only area that has 4*, thus I cannot bid 4* twice a day. If what you said is the case, I can use 3.5* to bid 4* in the same day. Link to comment
AaronJB
There MAY be hotels at the 3.5* level but I'm not seeing what they would be; none have been reported to the board yet. I would not use it as any sort of re-bid option. Link to comment

Twinkle.Lyphard
Hotwire shows only one 4* hotel in Hoboken - Jersey City area, which is definitely Sheraton Lincoln Harbor. So, does it mean that W Hotel, Westin, and Hyatt are fully booked? Link to comment
AaronJB
HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star rating in each zone for each set of dates. It does not mean that other hotels at that star rating in that zone are booked up.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

Twinkle.Lyphard
Well. So far 4* does not work at $130. Jersey City is such an expensive area? Link to comment
Twinkle.Lyphard
Update. I tried 3.5* for bidding 4*, $145 does not work either. It seems like Jersey City is more expensive then NYC. Is it possible? Link to comment
Twinkle.Lyphard
I am wondering if I bid 2 rooms in NYC, could the price for 1 room of 3.5* or 4* be less than 100? Thanks! Link to comment

Is it possible?Yes, JC got less hotels/inventory and can be expensive at times. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog. Link to comment
Twinkle.Lyphard
This must be the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor. I like Sheraton, but compared to other 4* hotels, Sheraton is not so convenient - based on what I search from Google Map, Sheraton takes longer time to go to Time Square, WTC, etc. since it does not have PATH nearby. We will edit and move your thread in the end.Excuse me? It is in different place. I am now talking about 2 rooms in NYC, not Jersey City. If you "same stay" means "same date", why not put all my posts in my thread in New York board? I've already bid a room in NYC (), but I've cancelled it and now reconsider other solutions. So, in terms of 2 rooms in NYC, I think I should make a new thread in New York board. Link to comment
Twinkle.Lyphard
I start looking at Hotwire for NYC June18-23 for 3 people, since Priceline is risky and Jersey City does not seem cheap.Currently there is a 3.5* hotel in Midtown East with $212 per night, which has fitness, restaurant, business and Internet with 85% recommendation. Would it be Roosevelt or Doubletree or Hilton? And, is it a good deal in a good place?PS: I think I post this topic in right place? If not, please kindly move it elsewhere, as I get confused where I exactly should put it. Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
This listing could potentially be any of the three - Hilton, Doubletree or Roosevelt; all three have been seen with this amenity set, and the listing is showing a 3.5/5 tripadvisor rating - all three are 3.5/5.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Twinkle.Lyphard
Well, this hotel has disappeared today, why? And, I want to know if I selected 3 people, will the room be sure enough to accommodate 3 people? Or still I have to negotiate with the hotel and based upon arrival? Link to comment
