mplsben
Need 2 rooms for 1 nite 4/25 to 4/26. I used your link to go to PRICELINE. In Times Sq area the "best deal" is for a 4-star hotel. How much should I bid for it? I didn't see any recent wins for 4-star in that area on the board. Link to comment
thereuare
I would ignore PRICELINE's "Best Deal" designation as it's often not accurate or helpful in your bidding.Did you select Times Square because of the 'best deal' label or is this the only zone you're willing/able to accept? While there is no reason to necessarily avoid Times Square, there is often no reason to only focus your bidding on this one zone. See our comments here: Hotels Near Times Square for more of our thoughts on this subject.Let us know the above, as well as your maximum bid, and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. mplsben
I am actually very flexible for location since it's just a 1-night business trip. My goal is to find a 4* at a decent price not too far from a subway stop. I'd be open to any of the midtown districts. Lower Manhattan would be an acceptable second choice. Link to comment
thereuare
Please give us an idea of 'a decent price' so we can suggest a strategy for you to follow without going higher then you're willing to bid.I'm assuming at the 4* level MTE, MTW, CPS, TS and ESB are all acceptable for the first round of bidding? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. mplsben
All those areas are ok. $150 max but cheaper is even better. Link to comment
