I've been bidding for Waikiki Beach 5* and Resort for a couple of weeks with no luck for May 27-June1 up to the $140 mark for 5* and $136 for Resort.

I'd noticed a win $125 for part of the dates we're there for the Sheraton Waikiki Beach; My debate is whether I should break up my bid and risk staying at 2 hotels or just hold out to see if anything better comes along? I'm not opposed to moving hotels within the same general area, but I'm wondering if anyone has had similar bidding experiences in this area.

Also influencing my bidding is $20 in bonus cash which expires tomorrow...

the resort fee at the Hilton is $18 plus tax, so wouldn't you have to pay that on top of your $188?

i stayed at the sheraton waikiki approx 3 weeks ago, and the resort fee at least included some useful things. Parking, a bottle of water per day, internet, local calls, and an hour of long distance per day were all gooods/services that i used during my stay. i usually hate resort fees, but in this case it felt like reasonable value on items that i needed anyways and would have cost more a la carte.

where do you get the $18.

this is my quote (for 10 nights):

....Rate per night: 188.00 USD

Total for Stay per Room:

Rate 1,880.00 USD

Taxes 262.45 USD

Total 2,142.45 USD

Total for Stay: 2,142.45 USD

Includes estimated taxes and service charges. (Gratuities not included.)

i would be upset to then find 18 extra per night. i do agree that the 20 at the sheraton if you have a car is worth the charge so i may have to consider that.
