Any hints as to which hotel this is? Looks similar to recent posts for Hyatt on Whacker, but wondering what is the liklihood of getting Hotel Felix (would rather not):

may 13-17, 2011, 4* Chicago (Magnif Mile-Streeterville)

$86 per room per night (2 rooms requested)

Amenities:

Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High-speed Internet Access and Spa Services

95% in Hotwire recommendations

500+reviews

3.5 out of 5 circles for TripAdvisor

Also, is there a place to look up the Hotwire review info?

Thanks!!

Tom

This could be the Hyatt, Felix or Swiss. It's most commonly the Hyatt (and the Hyatt, looking to fill 2000+ rooms, is commonly seen.) However, that doesn't rule out the Felix.

The HOTWIRE % review is not a reliable indicator. It appears to vary from search to search at times and there is nothing to check it against (as there is with tripadvisor.)

While I would be happy to offer alternate suggestions, unfortunately, this really looks like the cheapest option on HOTWIRE by a pretty significant margin.

Success!! Today, the rate went to $87 per night, but they offered a choice of Beds; either 1 King for $90 per room per night, or $91 for 2 Queens per room per night. Since the Hotel Felix doesn't offer 2 Queens (only 2 Doubles), I was fairly confident it was either the Hyatt or Swissotel. It was the Hyatt, my preferred hotel!! We are attending a national convention in Chicago for this stay, & the Hyatt is one of convention hotels offered at $249 per room, per night, so needless to say, we are happy with the bid. Thanks for your help!!

So, in summary:

May 13, 2011; 4 nights, 2 rooms, 4*, Hyatt Regency Chicago

$90 per night for each room (King bedded)

Congrats on your success. :)

Fantastic deal and glad you were able to get both the preferred hotel and a terrific rate. Hopefully you'll get a room with a nice view - while some view rooms are upgrades, you could inquire at check-in and say something like you don't necessarily need a lake view, but if there was any way you could be assigned to a higher floor room looking North (which should at least get some sort of city view), it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's HOTWIRE link.

Enjoy your stay.
