npaden
Used the links and booked on priceline for my first time ever. I've used Hotwire a few times before but I'm pretty sure this is my first successful bid on priceline.Hotwire was showing $93 so I thought I would mess around with Priceline a little. Seems that Treasure Island is about the only 4 star Strip North hotel regularly showing up on either so felt confident and even if I missed it wasn't a requirement to stay there anyway.Bid first at $76 and didn't get it so I added North area Condo (pretty easy change since there aren't any 4 star hotels in that area so I was essentially rebidding on North Strip) and bid $81 and was accepted. Saved $36 + some taxes for the 3 night stay over Hotwire and $114 + taxes over the rate on Expedia which was $119 per night. Not a bad rate for a weekend, even with the extra $17 resort fee that Treasure Island is now charging. npaden
Just added a rental car via priceline as well. $21/day on priceline for a midsize. Not much savings over hotwire which was $23 per day but for a 3 day rental that's $6! :) Used the better bidding links to book the car too. Link to comment
